Sabaa Giradkar is an Architect having core interests in adoption of sustainable practices for the built forms and its surroundings. She graduated from Smt. Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture, Nagpur in 2011and completed her Masters in Environmental Architecture from Rachana Sansad Institute of Environmental Architecture, Mumbai in 2015. She has been awarded by the Indian Institute of Architects, Nagpur Chapter in 2009 for her academic design project ‘Digital Training Institute’ based on the theme of ‘Contemporary Interpretation of Vernacular Architecture of Wardha, Maharashtra’. Her four years of work experience in the construction industry involves designing and execution of multi-dimensional projects in and around the vicinity of Mumbai.
Sabaa has been associated with TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) as a Green Building consultant. She worked upon evaluating the designing and planning measures implemented to achieve GRIHA (Green Rating Integrated Habitat Assessment) rating. She has also designed and conducted an e-learning course on sustainability formulated by USGBC (United States Green Building Council). Her brief experience in environmental research works has intrigued her to explore further in the domain.
